VERSION 2.00 -
This was the first "ShareWare" release. CHOU I was
written in Turbo Pascal version 3.0, with some assembly lang.
routines for faster screen writing.
VERSION 2.20 -
This was the result of upgrading to version 5.0 of Turbo
Pascal. It required many changes, mostly transparent to the
user; possibly 10% of the code. A couple of minor yet annoying
bugs were corrected at the same time. All changes affected
display-control and keyboard input only. (Late Summer, 1988).
VERSION 2.21 -
About a dozen minor translation changes were made to to
GLOSS.DAT, SEEK1.DAT, and SEEK2.DAT. (Late Fall, 1988).
VERSION 2.22 -
A few translation changes were made to JUDGES.DAT,
SEEK1.DAT, and SEEK2.DAT on July 14, 1989. These affected
Hexagrams 33, 34, and 56 only.
VERSION 2.23 -
The routine RECALL A SESSION now returns to the "1st
Gram" display. The Instructions now have page numbers.
(Mid-summer, 1989).
VERSION 2.24 -
A few translation changes were made to JUDGES.DAT,
SEEK1.DAT, and SEEK2.DAT on March 11, 1990. These affected
Hexagrams 21, 34, 35, and 55 only. Also updated to Turbo
Pascal version 5.5 for all compilation.
VERSION 2.25 -
A few translation changes were made to JUDGES.DAT,
SEEK1.DAT, and SEEK2.DAT on July 22, 1990. These affected
Hexagrams 6, 10, 16, 20, 21, 22, and 23 only. Also, upper-
case letters are now allowed when "casting" a hexagram.
VERSION 2.30 -
Upgraded to version 6.0 of Turbo Pascal. Added
mouse support, "pick-lists" for file retrieval & viewing
a Hexagram (Menu item #3). Also made the I/O more "bullet-
proof". The pick-list and menus (including mouse support)
are by Object Professional, from TurboPower Software.
This upgrade was sent to PC-SIG in Dec., 1990.
VERSION 2.31 -
A few translation changes were made to SEEK1.DAT
and SEEK2.DAT in March 1991. These affected Hexagrams 10,
43, and 54 only. A "pick-list" was added for selecting
GLOSSary words, and the Glossary window was made moveable.
Minor cosmetic changes were made throughout the program.
